About

Wisconsin Doulas of Color Collective was created in 2014 by a group of doulas, birthworkers, community members, and advocates who shared a powerful vision. They wanted to address the unequal birth outcomes experienced by Black and Brown families and build a support network that reflected the communities most affected by maternal and infant health disparities.

WIDOCC began as a grassroots effort to train, support, and uplift doulas of color. Over time it developed into a statewide collective that provides direct services, community education, family advocacy, and birthworker mentorship. Today WIDOCC continues to grow as a trusted resource for families in Wisconsin and surrounding areas.

Our Community Presence

WIDOCC is active across Wisconsin in community events, trainings, outreach programs, and maternal health initiatives. Our team attends resource fairs, participates in health events, speaks on panels, and collaborates with organizations that focus on maternal and infant health. We are committed to showing up where families need us and strengthening care through direct community engagement.
